Services section

The Rizoma Services Section aims to provide services to both cooperative members and external clients.

Its objective is to generate a network of service providers and users who complement each other, establishing lasting economic and solidarity-based relationships and allowing cooperative members to achieve progressive autonomy in relation to capitalist markets.

Currently, the projects managed by the Services Section are:

  • Co-Working Space (shared offices)
  • Self-Employment (alternative to freelance contracts for independent workers);
  • Cooperative Network (independent research, training and facilitation project)

The Services Section has immense potential to develop professional,
individual and collective projects in virtually any economic area. The
realization of this potential depends only on the commitment and
participation of its members.

What is Cooperative Employment?

One of Rizoma’s objectives is to create a community-based mutual aid solution that allows its members to develop autonomous projects, either individually (Self-Employment) or collectively (Labor Collectives, such as Malha), in a remunerated manner. To this end, we provide the necessary tools for members to offer services to their clients, earning income while contributing to the sustainability of the cooperative itself. We call this community solution Cooperative Employment (CE).
